Job summary

Fidelity Investments seeks a Director, Strategic Contracts to lead complex supplier negotiations and manage risk across the Procurement organization. You will partner with business units, legal, risk, and compliance to secure optimal value and provide executive guidance on contract decisions.

This role requires senior-level negotiation skills, strong relationship management, and the ability to influence leaders from project teams to the C-suite. Onsite work model is used for many roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; JD strongly preferred. 8–10 years of equivalent experience in advanced legal studies or purchasing, incl. complex contract negotiations.
• Proactive management and development of key business partner relationships.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Solid understanding of complex contracting models and the ability to negotiate and provide guidance across both standard and non-standard contracts.
• Ability to influence business stakeholders and senior executives through fact-based decision support.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct complex supplier contract negotiations within Fidelity's Procurement organization.
• Collaborate with business unit partners, legal, risk, compliance, and other SMEs to minimize risk and optimize value.
• Advise Fidelity leaders on contract and risk decisions and support rapid, effective business solutions.
