Job summary

The American College of Cardiology in Washington, DC is seeking a Contract & Legal Affairs Analyst to provide legal and contractual support for programs and operations, and to develop, negotiate, execute, and manage a wide range of contracts while mitigating risk. Qualified candidates hold a J.D.

with at least two years in contract review/negotiation and have familiarity with nonprofit tax-exemption, data privacy, and healthcare licensing matters.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Two years of contract review, drafting, negotiation, or legal support experience.
• Preference for nonprofit, tax-exemption, data privacy, healthcare licensing experience.
• Strong understanding of contract law principles and risk management.
• Excellent legal writing, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Drafts and negotiates complex contractual agreements and templates.
• Defines contractual needs with business leads and guides SOW development.
• Supports RFPs, solicitations, and contract modifications with templates.
• Negotiates terms and maintains templated provisions for compliance.
• Advises on IP rights and contract breaches; ensures timely compliance.
