Job summary

The Dow Chemical Company is seeking a Paralegal Specialist to join the Core Legal Practices team. The role supports complex contracts and governance across multiple entities, using technology and standardized workflows to improve legal-service delivery.

Based onsite in Midland, MI, Houston, TX, or Lake Jackson, TX, you will draft, review, and negotiate contract terms, manage intake, and coordinate with counsel and stakeholders while ensuring accuracy and timely risk assessment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military experience + 5 years relevant work experience; or 10 years experience.
• Substantive contract experience: drafting, revising, redlining, negotiating.
• Experience with contract intake & processing.
• Ability to work legally in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Manage assignments with initiative and discretion.
• Review requests for completeness and risk.
• Identify risks and involve counsel as needed.
• Meet turnaround times and support service metrics.
• Negotiate contract terms within authorized parameters.
• Maintain contract records and systems.
• Use AI and automation tools to improve processes.
