The position is on-site in Texas with a focus on university and state agency contracts, offering growth within the Contracts Office and related departments. A Bachelor's degree and contract experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and two years of business-related contract experience.
• Ability to review, understand, and revise contracts without using forms.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to negotiate terms.
• Knowledge of sponsored research contracts and university/state agency contracts.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, edit, and negotiate terms of non-sponsored agreements.
• Draft, review, edit, and negotiate terms of sponsored research agreements.
• Explain effects of contract clauses; identify risks and propose solutions.
• Coordinate with vendors, sponsors, and agency personnel for contract processing.
• Manage multiple files and deadlines across negotiations.
