Job summary

BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina is seeking a seasoned compliance professional to research insurance statutes and bulletins, prepare filings, and secure regulatory approvals for core products. You will draft and negotiate contracts, coordinate with legal teams, and oversee contract lifecycle management to ensure ongoing compliance across state departments.

The role requires 5 years in insurance, with emphasis on compliance and research, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 4 years of job-related experience or an Associate's plus 2 years of experience.
• 5 years of insurance experience, 4 in compliance and insurance research.
• Strong knowledge of insurance statutes and regulations and ERISA.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Research insurance statutes, regulations, and bulletins for policy form filings and secure department approvals.
• Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts to mitigate risk and align with business objectives.
• Manage full-cycle contract negotiations from drafting to execution with internal and external stakeholders.
• Utilize CLM platforms to manage contract lifecycle and maintain compliance across documents.
