Job summary

BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina is seeking a contracts professional based in Columbia, SC to manage contract staff, ensure compliance with FAR and Cost Accounting Standards, and oversee contract administration for government and corporate customers.

You will lead negotiations, supervise staff, review legal documents, and drive process improvements while maintaining ISO-aligned documentation and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 9 years experience in contracts negotiation is required.
• Strong contracts management experience with contract processes and principles.
• 3+ years of management or supervisory experience (or equivalent military experience) is required.

Responsibilities

• Leads the preparation and review of all business proposals to customers for growth of current contracts or award of new business.
• Oversees internal proposal processes to ensure compliance with FAR and CAS.
• Provides supervision of contract compliance, review, communication, performance, reporting and filing.
• Negotiates complex contracts and subcontracts; guides staff in negotiation of contracts.
• Develops and maintains internal processes in line with corporate policies and FAR requirements and ISO standards.
