Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Senior Global Sourcing Manager, Construction to lead strategic procurement for design and construction projects across Rivian’s growing operations. You will partner with Facilities, Real Estate, Finance, and Legal to develop sourcing strategies, execute procurements, and manage supplier performance to ensure safe, cost-effective outcomes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is required.
3+ years in construction purchasing, procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management.
3+ years negotiating commercial agreements for construction, facilities materials/services, or contractors.
Experience supporting large-scale industrial, automotive, manufacturing, energy, or tech facility builds.
Hands-on experience running competitive sourcing events and contract negotiations.
Strong knowledge of construction labor markets, materials, contractor practices, and facilities services.
Proficiency with procurement/ERP software (Coupa), Google Suite, Jira.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute multi-year category strategies, pipelines, and procurement roadmaps for design, construction, and facilities spend.
Analyze spend, market dynamics, and supplier capabilities to identify value creation and risk mitigation opportunities.
Drive supplier consolidation, standardization, and value engineering.
Leverage procurement systems for sourcing events, PO management, contract workflows, and spend visibility.
Promote adherence to internal procurement policies, delegated authority, and governance standards.
Apply deep expertise in construction purchasing and strategic sourcing to navigate labor, materials, equipment, and specialty contractors.
Negotiate NDAs, Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work, and change orders.
Lead commercial negotiations regarding pricing, payment terms, warranties, schedule, liability, indemnification, and risk allocation.
Partner with Legal, Risk, Safety, and Finance to ensure contract compliance and auditable decision-making.
Establish performance KPIs and conduct periodic supplier reviews.
Monitor contractor capacity, market health, and lead times; implement risk mitigation plans.
Travel as needed; translate project scopes into procurement requirements.
