Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Senior Global Sourcing Manager, Construction, to drive strategic procurement for design and construction across Rivian's expanding operations in the US. You will partner with Facilities, Real Estate, Finance, and Legal to develop sourcing strategies, execute procurements, and manage supplier performance for service centers, retail spaces, workplace, and charging sites.

The role emphasizes deep construction purchasing expertise, stakeholder influence, and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience is required.
• 3+ years in construction purchasing, procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management.
• 3+ years negotiating commercial agreements for construction, facilities materials/services, or contractors.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute multi-year category strategies for design, construction, and facilities spend.
• Analyze spend, market dynamics, and supplier capabilities to identify value creation and cost savings.
• Drive supplier consolidation and standardization; optimize specifications and value engineering.
• Leverage procurement systems for sourcing events, PO management, contracts, and spend visibility.
• Promote adherence to internal procurement policies and governance standards.
• Apply deep expertise in construction purchasing to navigate labor, materials, equipment, and specialty contractors.
• Negotiate NDAs, Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work, and change orders.
• Lead commercial negotiations on pricing, terms, warranties, schedule, liability, indemnification, and risk allocation.
• Partner with Legal, Risk, Safety, and Finance for contract compliance and auditable decisions.
• Establish KPIs and conduct periodic supplier reviews; monitor capacity and lead times; build a resilient supplier portfolio across US and Canada.
• Collaborate with Construction, Facilities, Engineering, Real Estate to translate project scopes into procurement requirements.
• Oversee procurement of general contractors, specialty trades, labor, and building materials; manage bid leveling and milestones.
