Job summary

Independence Construction, a DiGeronimo Companies business, seeks a Project Manager to lead multi-project execution in Northeast Ohio. You will coordinate teams with project executives and ensure client satisfaction, maintaining safety, budgets, and schedules throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities include cost reporting, subcontract administration, KPI tracking, and close-out activities while supporting business development and travel within the region as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate with all levels.
• Knowledge of budgeting and expense control.
• Well-developed analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to write reports and business correspondence.
• Able to organize work and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of all construction delivery systems.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop site-specific safety plans with project team and safety personnel.
• Assist in pre-construction bids and packaging strategies.
• Prepare and review project schedules from pre-construction through close-out.
• Initiate and award subcontracts; manage change orders during pre-construction.
• Develop and revise project budgets and monitor costs.
• Prepare monthly job cost reports for management.
• Act as liaison with Owner/Architect for projects.
• Develop and monitor KPIs and ensure contract compliance.
• Manage documentation including permits, surveys, tests with site superintendents.
• Coordinate materials/services with project sites and superintendents.
• Resolve labor issues with internal teams.
• Analyze variances between actuals and estimates; adjust forecasts.
• Prepare cash-flow projections; cost-loaded schedules if required.
• Oversee change management processes and project close-out.
• Support business development for future work.
• Travel within a 2-hour radius may be required.
