Job summary

Arrow Construction seeks a Purchasing Manager to lead purchasing, procurement, and inventory management for projects and the yard. You will manage vendor relations, bids, and cost tracking to support field operations and maintain budget controls.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of purchasing or procurement experience in construction.
• Strong working knowledge of Viewpoint Vista, HCSS, or similar construction ERP systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and cost-tracking tools.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Solicit competitive quotes from approved vendors and negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions for materials, rentals, equipment, and subcontracted services.
• Review purchase requests and issue purchase orders (POs) in line with budgets and policies.
• Track committed costs and verify alignment between POs, invoices, and vendor bids.
• Manage invoice processing to ensure daily processing with proper approvals.
• Develop relationships with vendors to ensure reliability, quality, and cost competitiveness.
• Evaluate vendor performance and maintain the approved vendor list.
• Coordinate vendor setup with accounting and ensure compliance with insurance and subcontract requirements.
• Support PMs with bid packages for materials, trucking, and rentals.
• Provide material pricing and vendor input during pre-bid planning.
• Maintain inventory tracking across yard and job sites.
