Job summary

MPI is seeking an experienced Director of Operations to provide strategic and operational leadership across multiple construction projects and teams in the United States. The role focuses on driving execution, developing talent, improving efficiencies, and delivering safe, profitable projects aligned with company objectives.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience within the construction industry.
  • Proven success managing large-scale commercial, industrial, concrete, or self-perform operations.
  • Strong financial oversight of portfolios, budgets, and P&L.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee operations across multiple projects, regions, or business units.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies that support growth and profitability.
  • Mentor Operations Managers, Project Executives, Superintendents, and Project Managers.
  • Drive accountability for project performance, safety, quality, scheduling, and financial outcomes.
  • Monitor project portfolios and address operational risks and challenges.
  • Collaborate with executives on workforce planning and business initiatives.
  • Review project financials, forecasts, budgets, and KPIs.
  • Establish relationships with clients, subcontractors, and industry partners.
  • Champion continuous improvement and best practices.
  • Support recruiting, succession planning, and leadership development.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and standards.
  • Foster teamwork, performance, and exceptional client service.
