Job summary

MPI is seeking a Director of Construction to lead major commercial projects from preconstruction through completion. You will craft strategies, manage budgets, and drive safe, on-time delivery while mentoring project teams and coordinating with contractors and vendors.

The role requires 15+ years in commercial construction, a related bachelor’s degree, OSHA certification preferred, and strong communication skills. A competitive base salary plus bonus and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in Commercial Construction.
• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related field strongly preferred.
• OSHA certification preferred.
• Proficient in project management software.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction projects from preconstruction through completion, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives are met.
• Develop construction strategies, standards, processes, and long-term plans aligned with organizational goals.
• Establish budgets, monitor expenditures, approve major costs, and manage forecasts and change orders.
• Oversee project schedules and identify critical-path risks to drive timely completion.
• Manage and mentor project managers, superintendents, engineers, and other construction personnel.
• Select, negotiate with, and oversee general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants.
• Establish quality standards and ensure compliance with plans, codes and contractual requirements.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure OSHA compliance.
