Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Construction Cost Manager to lead cost management across a portfolio of industrial construction projects in North America. The role involves driving cost certainty, validating project financials, and enforcing governance standards while working with cross-functional teams across the organization.

The ideal candidate will execute end-to-end cost management, manage change orders, and implement automation in reporting and analytics, with travel to North America as needed.

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end cost management functions across multiple projects.
• Maintain compliance with internal cost management governance standards.
• Track and report cost performance metrics.
• Implement cost control processes including baselines, WBS, and cost breakdown structures.
• Review & challenge cost and time change requests from external partners.
• Contingency management and monthly cost reporting with automation.
• Understand end-to-end change control per AACE standards and supporting documentation.
• Develop and review change order logs and audit-trail documentation.
• Collaborate with Construction Managers, Preconstruction, Design, Procurement, Finance and Operations.
• Identify project risks and communicate to Cost Management Manager and cross-functional partners.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly cost reports with automation.
