Job summary

Messer Construction Co. in Cincinnati seeks an experienced Business Development Manager to expand our client base and lead pursuit of major construction opportunities in the region.

You will develop new business accounts, research and network for opportunities, and collaborate with the BD team to implement plans that achieve revenue objectives while upholding Messer's values and standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of business development / sales experience.
• Bachelor's degree in business, construction, or related field.
• Ability to work non-traditional hours.
• Business and community relationships in the Cincinnati area.
• Knowledge/experience in a construction related industry.
• Knowledge of Messer market segments is a plus.
• Formal sales training experience and utilization of client relationship management (CRM) software preferred.
• Proven track record developing business and long-term client relations.

Responsibilities

• Developing new business accounts to secure major construction contract.
• Strategically prospect, network, and research future construction project opportunities.
• Working collaboratively with the Business Development team to create and implement strategic plans to generate business opportunities which result in achieved revenue objectives for the Cincinnati region.
• Participating in industry and community organization.
• Continuously growing and developing your skills to lead project teams in selling high-end conceptual services to executive level managers and buyers of large corporations and agencies.
• Influence the performance of cross functional teams.
• Make decisions based on Messer's long-term growth philosophy and core value.
