Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Electronic Media, Marketing, Communications or related field.
  • 1–3 years in Marketing/Sales/Communications.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels.
  • Knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Creative Suite applications is a plus.
  • Video production knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Review and coordinate proposals and presentations while also creating and maintaining other sales documents/media, including project description sheets and employee bios.
  • Plan, write, design and produce high-impact, creative sales materials including but not limited to qualifications, proposals, and presentations.
  • Translate complex strategies and themes into easy-to-understand communications.
  • Make technical content more engaging and understandable for a lay audience, while communicating the value and benefits Messer delivers.
  • Provide strategic counsel to support Business Development representatives throughout Messer's eleven regions while interacting closely with other Project Development departments.
  • Interact with Messer employee-owners (in the field and office) and external partners and vendors.
  • Embrace and follow department standards and processes including brand standards, writing style guide, quality control, close-out and Lean Daily Management.

We are currently seeking a Pursuit Marketing Specialist to join our Marketing and Corporate Communication (M&CC) team. An ideal candidate must be a self-starter, quick learner, personable, persuasive, deadline-and detail-oriented. They should also possess strong writing and visual communications skills. Candidate must be able to work both in teams and alone in a fast-paced environment while supporting the proposal and sales presentation process.

What You Will Do:

What You Will Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Electronic Media, Marketing, Communications or related field.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience working in a Marketing/Sales/Communications role.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees.
  • Knowledge of Adobe InDesign and other Creative Suite applications a plus (Mac environment).
  • Video production knowledge a plus
  • Proficiency with technology, including Smartsheet, Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Knowledge of construction industry a plus
