Ashurst Perkins Coie US LLP is seeking a seasoned Conflicts Attorney to independently analyze conflicts of interest involving new business, firm lateral hires, and mergers. The role includes drafting waivers and advising on ethical issues while ensuring compliance with professional standards.

Candidates must have a Juris Doctorate and at least five years’ practice, including two years in conflicts/ethics. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Juris Doctorate and be an active member in good standing.
• 5+ years of practice experience and 2+ years as Conflicts Attorney I or equivalent senior level ethics experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze conflicts of interest on new business and lateral hires; draft waivers and engagement letters.
• Advise on ethical issues and withdrawals; resolve conflicts in mergers and hiring.
• Lead projects and coordinate workload coverage with minimal supervision.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda for firm lawyers and committees.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with professional rules across jurisdictions.
