Job summary

Leidos in Washington, DC is building a brand-new Agile development team for federal IT modernization. The Configuration Manager will drive baseline control, release governance, and cross‑functional coordination across engineering, DevOps, cyber, and operations in a secure, evolving environment.

The role requires an active TS/SCI clearance, Security+ or higher, and experience leading complex CM efforts with Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Security+ or equivalent certification.
• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years relevant experience.
• Experience leading CM/change management for complex environments.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket/Git.
• Experience with Agile/DevOps workflows.
• Experience supporting DoD or federal programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end configuration management across environments (dev through IL5/IL6 production).
• Own CM plans, release procedures, baseline controls, governance models, and change workflows.
• Manage release calendars, cadences, readiness criteria, deployment windows, cutover and rollback planning, and post-release validation.
• Coordinate release planning across engineering, DevOps, cloud, data, test, cyber, IA, operations, and customer teams.
• Facilitate release readiness reviews, configuration control boards, go/no-go reviews, and retrospectives.
• Ensure release packages are complete, reviewed, documented, traceable, and approved.
• Maintain traceability across requirements, defects, risks, and changes using Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and CI/CD tools.
• Coordinate DoD-aligned security requirements, STIG configurations, vulnerability remediation, and auditable evidence.
• Provide timely status reporting on scope, readiness, risks, defects, deployment progress, and outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement of CM and release processes.
