Job summary

Semper Valens Solutions is seeking a Configuration Management Engineer to lead enterprise CM capability development for the Wideband Control Strategic Portfolio. You will design modern CM infrastructure, architect CMDB in JIRA, and drive CM processes across distributed teams in a DoD context.

This strategic role focuses on architecture, frameworks, and sustainable CM capabilities, requiring deep JIRA/Confluence experience and strong stakeholder influence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field.
• DoD processes and procedures experience preferred.
• Willing to travel as required.
• Active DoD Secret clearance or eligibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Configuration Management Database in JIRA for multi-domain System of Systems.
• Architect CI taxonomy and identification schemes for integrated visibility.
• Establish baseline management frameworks and versioning strategies.
• Develop relationship mapping for impact analysis and dependency tracking.
• Create change control workflows integrated with CI management.
• Design governance and approval structures for change classifications.
• Establish configuration audits for compliance and QA.
• Lead lifecycle tracking for technology refresh planning.
• Train users on CM tools and methodologies across teams.
