Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or military experience.
• At least 4 years of experience in compliance, legal, or audit.
• At least 4 years of experience supporting, partnering, and interacting with internal business clients.

Responsibilities

• Identify potential internal and external risks related to business initiatives and provide remediation guidance.
• Maintain subject matter expertise of applicable laws and regulations.
• Perform and review control assessments for accuracy and adherence to procedures.
• Evaluate audit, exam, and self-identified issues for compliance impact.
• Provide guidance on compliance risks and support lines of business through various interactions.
• Advise lines of business on application of compliance requirements for new products and processes.
• Assist in development and maintenance of the Compliance Program, including monitoring and training.
• Support lines of business with expert advice and process/controls adjustments.
• Conduct validations on controls for applicable regulations and UDAAP reviews.
• Participate in compliance testing and third-party compliance efforts.
• Maintain understanding of the Compliance Risk Management Framework.
• Assist in capturing and analyzing compliance data for consistency and risk management.
• Participate in reporting and governance activities to senior leadership.
• Travel to Capital One locations as necessary.
