Job summary

Capital One seeks a Compliance Advisor Senior Manager to lead risk management in the second line of defense, providing expert compliance guidance to the New to Credit credit card business. This role partners with lines of business to embed compliance into product development, controls, and policies, supports audit and regulatory exams, and travels to Capital One sites as needed.

Candidates bring 5+ years of experience, advanced degrees or certifications preferred, and a deep knowledge of UDAAP,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or military experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in Compliance, Risk Management, Audit or Legal.
• Master’s Degree or JD preferred.
• CRCM/ACAMS/CIPP certifications preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Card Operations, Servicing, Systems and Platforms.

Responsibilities

• Identify potential internal and external risks and provide remediation guidance with SMEs.
• Maintain subject matter expertise of applicable laws and regulations.
• Perform and review control assessments for accuracy and test procedures.
• Evaluate Internal Audit, Regulatory Exam and self-identified issues for compliance impact.
• Provide guidance on applying Compliance requirements to new products, processes and controls.
• Assist in developing and maintaining the Compliance Program, including monitoring, reporting and training.
• Support lines of business through expert advice and process adjustments to controls.
• Conduct targeted validations and reviews on controls for applicable regulations.
• Perform UDAAP validations and reviews.
• Participate in compliance testing and third-party compliance efforts.
• Travel to Capital One locations as necessary.
