Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Compliance Advisor Manager in Richmond, VA to lead risk management as the second line of defense for Discover Personal Loans and New to Credit products. You will deliver strategic compliance advice, shape controls, and partner with leaders to embed regulatory requirements into product development and growth initiatives.

You will maintain expertise in applicable laws, conduct control assessments, and participate in governance activities, with travel to Capital One

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or military experience.
• At least 4 years of experience in compliance, legal, or audit.
• At least 4 years of experience supporting, partnering with internal business clients.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive advisory during product development lifecycle.
• Partner with business leaders to integrate compliance risk into strategy.
• Advise on controls for new-to-credit products.
• Maintain expert understanding of applicable laws and regulations.
• Perform and review control assessments and test procedures.
• Support lines of business through expert advice and change in law.
