Job summary

UCLA Health seeks a Compensation Manager to lead compensation operations, analytics, and process improvements for its academic medical center workforce in Los Angeles. You will manage a team of compensation professionals and partner with HR leadership, Labor Relations, and Talent Acquisition to drive strategic workforce decisions.

Salary offerings are based on qualifications and experience, with a full range from $108,900 to $241,500 annually; budgeted pay is approximately $190,000 to $235,000.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressively responsible compensation experience.
• 3+ years in a leadership/supervisory role.
• Experience supporting a represented workforce and interpreting collective bargaining agreements strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of compensation principles, job evaluation methodologies, salary administration and market pricing.
• Experience managing complex compensation projects and cross-functional initiatives.
• Advanced analytical skills with experience using Excel, compensation databases, HRIS systems and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead compensation operations across UCLA Health, including analytics and process improvement.
• Oversee union wage implementation and ensure alignment with collective bargaining agreements.
• Serve as a strategic partner to HR leadership, Labor Relations, HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and organizational leaders.
• Use data and analytics to create scalable compensation processes and support workforce decisions.
