Job summary

loanDepot is seeking a seasoned compensation leader to design, analyze, and administer our compensation programs in Plano, TX. You will partner with HR and business leaders to deliver data-driven insights that drive talent attraction and retention.

The role requires 8+ years in compensation, expertise in market pricing, job architecture, and incentives, and strong analytical communication skills in a fast-paced mortgage environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of eight (8) years of progressive compensation experience.
• Experience with job architecture, market pricing, job evaluations, and compensation analysis.
• Experience with long-term incentive (LTI) programs is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex compensation data.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
• Experience with benchmarking tools (Payfactors, Payscale, MarketPay, Salary.com, Mercer, Radford) or similar.
• Experience with Workday Compensation or similar HRIS is a plus.
• Knowledge of compensation regulations, pay equity practices, and market trends.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with HR Business Partners and leaders to develop data-informed solutions for compensation programs that align with strategy.
• Shapes and refines enterprise job structures and leveling frameworks for workforce consistency and career progression.
• Leads market pricing and benchmarking by interpreting external salary survey data and databases to maintain equitable pay practices.
• Manages the annual compensation planning cycle including merit and promotions and salary structure updates.
• Maintains job descriptions and ensures accurate market pricing and compensation administration.
• Reviews job requisitions to ensure compensation alignment and data accuracy before posting.
• Monitors wage regulations and conducts compliance analyses with pay adjustments as needed.
• Administers short-term incentive programs and supports long-term incentive programs including equity awards.
• Performs comprehensive compensation analyses to identify trends and internal equity considerations.
