Job summary

The City of San Luis is seeking a Recreation Coordinator to plan, develop, coordinate, and supervise community recreation programs across Cultural Center, Youth Center, and Recreation Center.

Responsibilities include budgeting, staff training, outreach to partners, event planning, and ensuring safety standards. Requires a high school diploma or GED and 3 years of experience in recreation planning; Arizona Driver’s License and First Aid/CPR are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Three years of full-time experience planning and coordinating recreational activities and sports.
• Arizona Driver’s License required.
• Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
• First Aid/CPR Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement recreational programs for different age groups across multiple facilities.
• Interact with agencies and individuals to plan and coordinate activities.
• Schedule activities, events, services, facilities, and equipment.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate recreational personnel.
• Assist in budget preparation and management, tracking expenses and resources.
• Promote programs via social media, flyers, and community outreach.
• Prepare reports and maintain records.
• Organize leagues and tournaments, register teams, and officiate as needed.
