Job summary

The American Red Cross Broward County Chapter is seeking an Executive Director to serve as the primary community-facing leader, guiding strategic planning, fundraising, and volunteer engagement to advance humanitarian impact.

The role requires convening cross-functional teams, managing key relationships, and publicly representing the organization while driving revenue and partnerships across the chapter jurisdiction. Travel and leadership of the Chapter Board are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 7 years of related experience or equivalent combination.
• Demonstrated fundraising experience, including donor engagement and revenue generation.
• Ability to work on a team.
• May travel to meetings and conferences throughout jurisdiction.
• Combination of education and experience satisfies minimum years.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary community-facing leader and facilitator for the chapter.
• Convene, align, and empower cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver core services and strengthen resilience.
• Represent the organization publicly and lead collaborative chapter planning with the community.
• Steward strategic relationships to achieve regional program, revenue, donor engagement, and community goals.
• Lead the chapter in supporting revenue targets and fundraising goals.
• Recruit and develop philanthropy committee members with community influence.
• Manage a portfolio of strategic relationships including local officials and community leaders.
• Develop and support the Chapter Board of Directors and volunteer leaders.
• Partner with Communications and Fundraising teams to align messaging and campaigns.
