Northeast New Jersey Legal Services (NNJLS) is a non-profit public interest law firm serving Hudson, Bergen and Passaic Counties from Jersey City, Union City, Paterson and Hackensack. The Community Outreach and Engagement Manager will build partnerships, develop outreach strategies, and coordinate legal education programs to expand access to justice.

Based in the Jersey City office, the role requires collaboration with social service providers, strong communication, and the ability to travel

Qualifications

• College degree with at least 2 years' coalition/community group experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; public speaking and outreach.
• Ability to lead projects, work collaboratively, and manage schedules.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support community engagement projects and identify issues in low-income communities.
• Cultivate relationships with social service providers and organizations.
• Represent NNJLS on coalitions and at stakeholder meetings.
• Maintain knowledge of poverty statistics and demographics.
• Coordinate outreach activities, presentations, and know-your-rights workshops.
