Job summary

New Jersey League of Conservation Voters is seeking a Local Engagement Coordinator in NJ to drive leadership, policy advocacy, and electoral work at local and state levels. The role supports environmental policy priority setting, partnership-building, and strategic outreach to officials, activists, and communities.

The position emphasizes collaboration across teams to advance climate justice, equity, and accountability while growing a robust network of environmental champions and allies

Qualifications

• Deep commitment to climate and justice policies.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities in fast-paced environments.
• Experience with project management.
• Strong partnership-building and constituent relations skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage NJ LCV’s PAC election work and support a broader political program.
• Ensure PAC reporting compliance with NJ rules and election laws.
• Develop resources for local officials and endorsees.
• Build relationships with officials and partners via webinars, events, and CRM.
• Develop and execute coordinated electoral campaign plans and perform data analysis.
• Represent NJ LCV with partners and elected officials to influence policy.
• Support diversity, equity, and inclusion across work.
• Lead the scorecard process and publish results.
• Grow engagement with environmental champions transitioning to decision-makers.
• Collaborate on NJ bipartisan legislative caucus for the environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
