Job summary

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) seeks a Communications & Engagement Specialist to support internal and external communications for a major greenfield pharmaceutical manufacturing project in Richmond. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3-7 years of experience in project communications, corporate communications, public relations, stakeholder engagement, or a related role.
• Experience supporting large capital projects, construction programs, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, manufacturing, or industrial environments is preferred.
• Excellent written, verbal, editing, and presentation skills.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Teams, and other communication and collaboration platforms.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholder groups.
• Experience supporting executive communications and event coordination is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain an integrated communications and stakeholder engagement plan that supports project objectives, milestones, and design phases.
• Coordinate and deliver clear, accurate communications to teams and stakeholders via newsletters, announcements, presentations, town halls, dashboards, and digital platforms.
• Prepare executive-level communications, briefing materials, leadership presentations, key messages, and stakeholder updates.
• Support engagement activities with local communities, economic development organizations, government representatives, and other external stakeholders.
• Develop and coordinate workforce engagement programs promoting collaboration, recognition, safety culture, diversity and inclusion, and employee involvement.
• Partner with leadership to support change management initiatives by developing communication campaigns and engagement activities.
• Plan and execute project events, milestone celebrations, site visits, leadership meetings, public forums, and groundbreaking ceremonies.
• Create, edit, and manage high-quality communications content across channels including articles, visuals, presentations, videos, digital signage, intranet, and social media.
• Establish mechanisms to gather stakeholder feedback, measure communication effectiveness, track engagement metrics, and provide recommendations.
