Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in a communications, public relations, or marketing role.
• Strong writing and editing skills with attention to tone, accuracy, and audience.
• Ability to handle sensitive or confidential information with discretion.
• Comfortable managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Draft, edit, and coordinate internal communications, including employee announcements, newsletters, and updates related to initiatives and changes
• Support development of customer-facing communications, including notices related to promotions, product changes, and acquisitions
• Assist in drafting and maintaining internal FAQ documents to support employees and customer-facing teams during periods of change
• Coordinate press release drafts and basic media inquiries with marketing leadership
• Support review and refinement of external-facing language for accuracy and audience sensitivity in community banking and M&A contexts
• Maintain and update website and intranet content related to communications and announcements
• Assist with coordinating internal communications calendars across audiences and channels
• Support crisis or time-sensitive communications under marketing leadership
• Write scripts for internal and external video content with the video/creative team
• Write and manage blog content supporting the bank's communications and content marketing goals
• Provide copywriting support for advertising and promotional materials
• Partner with marketing team on brand-consistent messaging
