Axiom is looking for a Strategic Communications Specialist to support the DoD in the Washington, DC area.

An active Secret or Top Secret Clearance is required to be considered for this position.

This is an upcoming opportunity contingent on contract award.

The Strategic Communications Specialist provides high-level strategic communications and briefing development support. Prepares content for senior DoD leadership that clearly conveys research findings, policy options, and organizational updates in a visually compelling and professional format.

Key Responsibilities

• Create briefing decks, talking points, and executive summaries tailored to leadership.
• Transform complex analysis into clear and concise communication products.
• Coordinate across stakeholders to ensure messaging accuracy and consistency.
• Support the design and delivery of presentations for senior audiences including SES, Flag Officers, and political appointees.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting executive communications in a DoD or federal agency setting.
• Advanced PowerPoint and visual storytelling skills; Adobe Creative Suite a plus.
• Strong writing/editing skills aligned with DoD standards.
  
  

Clearance

• An active Secret clearance is required.
• Must be a United States Citizen and pass a background check.
• Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s).
