Job Description
- Coordinate all communications with Field Operations (FO) headquarters working out of the office in Alexandria, VA.
- Make recommendations and develop, in close coordination with the RD(s), the FY communications strategies.
- Support communication across different platforms to ensure the Agency, Field Ops, and Region messaging is effective at reaching and engaging our “Gatekeepers.”
- Tasks include, but are not limited to, email, SharePoint, Teams, newsletters, attending events, taking notes for After Action Reports, writing articles using AP Style and OCCA policies, covering Visual Information (VI) workflow at events, including video and photography, and producing these items by deadlines.
- Develop a central repository of templates for briefings, slide decks, white papers, etc., to ensure consistency across FO.
- Meet with Supervisors across the Region to assess and improve communication strategies.
- Consult with Region Leaders on mass communication strategies to ensure effective messaging.
- Support the RD in developing and executing external communication strategies with Industry and Government stakeholders.
- Assist in developing briefings, talking points, and messaging for external engagements.
- Manage all the region’s 234 Process Forms for OCCA, collaborating with SMEs and reviewing materials for message consistency.
- Draft, develop, and edit products on behalf of RD/DRD.
- Train personnel and promote DCSA branding in all communications.
- Develop and edit award citations for ceremonies.
- Plan and host virtual meetings via Adobe Connect or similar platforms.
Job Requirements
- Must hold an active Secret security clearance.
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, or a related field, with at least 4 years of experience, preferably in DoD federal government contracting.
- Must be able to work in the office at least 3 days per week unless otherwise deemed essential by the Task Manager.
