Qualifications

• Experience in interviewing, writing and editing, or media relations.

Responsibilities

• Promotes recognition of the organization’s services with strategic communications.
• Contributes as writer; develops multimedia content including video and photography.
• Maintains contact with sources to highlight achievements via news releases and web features.
• Interviews faculty and staff on medical and scientific topics for public audiences.
• Coordinates with communicators to ensure consistent messaging across programs.
• Plans events with PR/marketing impact and coordinates staff work.
• Directs clear communication strategies maintaining alignment across the organization.
• Maintains relationships with public officials and WVU stakeholders.
• Writes ad copy and scripts; coordinates video/photography shoots and speeches.
