Boston Medical Center is looking for an experienced External Communications Senior Manager to lead their external communications strategy. This hybrid role involves collaborating with clinical leadership and stakeholders to enhance the organization's profile and reputation.

POSITION LOCATION: Hybrid. Under the direction of the Senior Director of Strategic Communications, the External Communications Senior Manager oversees the strategic execution of external communications for Boston Medical Center Health System (BMC Health System) and is responsible for advancing media relations, thought leadership, and conference and forum engagement that directly promotes and benefits BMC Health System’s profile and reputation.
The External Communications Senior Manager will work with executive and clinical leadership, providers, and other stakeholders across the health system to develop and implement a broad, proactive external communications strategy and tactics in support of BMC Health System’s strategic goals, with a focus on high-priority initiatives and audiences and externally trending opportunities.
The External Communications Senior Manager will also work closely with Communications leaders to advance strategic initiatives and support issues management. All engagements should underscore BMC Health System’s approach to modeling a transformational kind of excellence in healthcare where clinical and operational innovation meets health equity and access.

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Proven ability to translate a strategic plan into tactical excellence. Capable of communications program development, implementation, metrics, and evaluation. Must be highly organized self-started, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and complex organizational environment. Proficient in standard client software in a healthcare office setting (i.e., MS Word, Excel, Access, Web Browsers, etc.).
Compensation Range: $97,500.00- $141,500.00 This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer.
