The Wikimedia Foundation is seeking an experienced communications lead to serve as the primary communications partner to the Wikimedia Enterprise team — shaping external messaging, media relations, and thought leadership to drive organic demand for Enterprise services, while ensuring alignment with the Foundation’s broader communications priorities.

The role sits in the Media Relations team within the Foundation’s Communications Department.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own external communications strategy for Wikimedia Enterprise across media and events.
• Build relationships with reporters and conference organizers to secure speaking opportunities.
• Serve as primary media liaison, managing press inquiries and coordinating interviews.
• Partner with internal teams to develop narratives and thought leadership.
• Review marketing materials to ensure consistent key messages.
• Coordinate launches with Enterprise Growth from drafting to release.
• Align Wikimedia Enterprise growth plan with the Foundation's annual plan.
