Job summary

The Wikimedia Foundation is seeking a Communications Lead for Wikimedia Enterprise on a 6-month contract, reporting to the Communications Manager with dotted-line to the President of Wikimedia Enterprise. You will shape external messaging, manage media relations, and drive thought leadership to generate organic demand for Enterprise services.

Based in a remote-first environment, you will coordinate across time zones, lead messaging for launches, and collaborate with the Growth and Communications

Qualifications

• 8+ years of communications experience at a senior/lead level.
• Experience bridging communications and marketing/growth functions.
• Excellent stakeholder management across teams and leadership.
• Strong writing and editing across press, blogs, and internal briefs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own the external communications strategy for Wikimedia Enterprise across media, speaking engagements, and other channels.
• Build relationships with reporters and conference organizers to secure opportunities and position Wikimedia Enterprise as the go-to product.
• Serve as primary media liaison, coordinating inquiries, interviews, and rapid-response efforts.
• Collaborate with internal teams to craft narratives and thought leadership aligning with growth plans.
• Coordinate end-to-end communications for major external launches with Enterprise Growth.
