Job summary

BMO’s high-growth U.S. Banking group seeks a communications lead for its Commercial Banking businesses.

The Lead, Corporate Communications will partner with leaders to execute external positioning and executive communications, while guiding internal and external programs for the Commercial Banking team. This senior role requires delivering high-quality communications aligned with our brand and risk standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related field.
• Agency experience and/or agency management experience is a plus.
• Expert writing & editing skills; able to distill technical information into clear messages.
• Able to translate complex information into key messages for diverse audiences.
• Seasoned professional with strong education, experience, and industry knowledge.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; high attention to detail.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and data-driven decision making abilities.
• Influence and cross-group collaboration skills; able to navigate ambiguity.
• MBA or related degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute external positioning and executive communications for BMO's Commercial Banking leadership.
• Lead internal and external programs for the Commercial Banking team and align with corporate standards and values.
• Provide strategic communications counsel to senior leadership and measure impact with analytics.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across communications, media relations, marketing and business partners.
• Identify and profile stories that advance business goals and client segment strategy.
