Job summary

ANSER is seeking a Senior Strategic Communications Analyst to support the DoW Chief Information Officer and develop messaging for external stakeholders. The role requires full-time on-site work at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA, with responsibilities for strategic messaging, content planning, and engagement with CIO offices.

You will draft talking points, briefs, press releases, and plans, while coordinating media responses and content across social platforms.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, public policy, political science, information technology, or related field; Master’s may substitute for 2 years of experience.
• 14+ years of strategic communications experience.
• Ability to translate cybersecurity/AI concepts into clear external messaging.
• Experience briefing GO/FO/SES-level or senior DoW leaders.
• Experience operating social media management platforms.
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute social media content strategies aligned with CIO and DoW goals.
• Plan, schedule, and publish digital content across platforms.
• Track and analyze social media metrics to optimize posts and inform decisions.
• Collaborate with CIO offices to shape messaging.
• Monitor channels for engagement and respond professionally.
• Create graphics, short videos, and multimedia assets for campaigns.
• Join CIO and PD CIO on local speaking engagements.
• Assist with strategic messaging plans and engagement vetting.
• Draft talking points, briefings, reports, and press releases.
• Coordinate responses to media inquiries with DoW offices as needed.
• Build relationships with OSW Public Affairs, GC, and OSW Legislative Affairs.
