Benesch seeks a Communications Director to lead company-wide communications strategy and strengthen connections with employees, clients, industry partners, and communities. This leadership role shapes Benesch's voice, messaging, and brand across internal and external channels, thought leadership, digital platforms, social media, and the Benesch website.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in corporate communications, public relations, or related fields.
• Experience developing and executing integrated communications strategies.
• Exceptional writing, editing, storytelling, and content development skills.
• Experience advising executive leadership and senior business leaders.
• Experience leading communications professionals and coordinating teams.
• Strong understanding of brand strategy, reputation management, and integrated marketing communications.
• Experience managing corporate websites, digital channels, social media, and content strategy.
• Experience developing thought leadership content and positioning experts as industry voices.
• Experience with media relations and building relationships with industry publications.

Responsabilités

• Develop and lead an integrated, company-wide communications strategy aligned with business objectives and brand.
• Strengthen Benesch’s reputation, visibility, and market position within the AEC industry.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership and leaders across the organization.
• Lead stewardship of the Benesch brand and ensure consistent voice and messaging across channels.
• Lead the strategy and ongoing development of the website, digital channels, and social media presence.
• Develop and execute communications strategies that communicate company strategy, culture, and initiatives to employees.
• Oversee internal communications across offices, disciplines, and geographies.
• Partner with executives and internal teams on communications for initiatives and organizational changes.
• Collaborate with technical experts to develop thought leadership content and industry positioning.
• Lead media relations and identify opportunities to increase visibility through publications and conferences.
