Centrus Energy Corp. seeks an entrepreneurial, high-autonomy Associate Director of Communications & Public Relations to own and elevate the company’s external and internal messaging from day one.

This role is a builder’s position with budget to scale the program, enabling you to define the narrative, nurture top media relationships, and safeguard our brand. Reporting to the SVP, Head of Investor Relations and Public Affairs, you will lead cross‑functional teams, drive strategic plans, and mentor

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in corporate communications, public relations, strategic communications, or related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience developing and executing internal and external communications strategies, including media relations, executive communications, and employee communications.
• Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees, leaders, media, and external stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize competing deadlines, and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute internal and external communications strategies aligned with company priorities.
• Partner with executive leadership on messaging, presentations, and corporate announcements.
• Lead media relations, including press outreach and proactive engagement with key outlets.
• Create communication plans for major initiatives, employee engagement, and recruiting campaigns.
• Manage corporate channels: website, intranet, newsletters, social media, and other platforms.
• Collaborate with HR, Investor Relations, Government Relations, Legal, and Operations to ensure consistent messaging.
• Support crisis and executive communications, monitoring coverage and reputation.
• Measure impact and drive improvements to maximize engagement.
