Job summary

The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation in Chicago invites a proactive Communications Coordinator to support the Communications team. You will manage scheduling, assemble agendas, coordinate events, and assist with major announcements.

Based in a hybrid Chicago setting, you will handle travel and expense reports, assist digital analytics, and coordinate print materials, media relations, and external meetings while maintaining files and project archives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three to five years of relevant administrative experience, preferably in a communications setting.
• Comfortable working in a team environment.
• Well-developed organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Able to juggle multiple assignments simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Creative/entrepreneurial thinking.
• Positive, can-do attitude and willingness to do what is necessary to get the job done.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Support scheduling for Communications team and manage directors' schedules.
• Arrange meeting logistics and distribute agendas and notes.
• Provide project management support for major announcements.
• Coordinate document management and formatting of presentations.
• Interact with Foundation colleagues, media, and external partners.
• Process domestic and international expense reports.
• Assist digital analytics and project management for monthly reports.
• Support media relations research and coordinate meetings/events.
