Job summary

INFICON is seeking a strategic Commodity Manager — Custom Components to lead sourcing strategies for precision-manufactured components. In this role, you will enhance supplier performance, optimize costs, and mitigate supply risks across a complex global supply chain.

Your responsibilities include developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier qualifications, and ensuring cost-effective procurement decisions. Ideal candidates will possess a strong background in commodity management and precision manufacturing processes. The expected salary range for this position is between $95,000 and $140,000 per year.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of commodity management or strategic sourcing experience in custom‑fabricated components.
• Strong understanding of precision manufacturing processes and ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience qualifying suppliers and supporting manufacturing qualification processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the global commodity strategy for custom components and indirect categories.
• Build and maintain should‑cost models to support negotiations.
• Manage supplier performance through scorecards and continuous improvement plans.
