Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp.'s Wyman Gordon Division is looking for a Commodity Manager to develop and execute sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost reductions while ensuring a reliable supply base. You will work with Operations, Planning, Quality, Engineering, and Finance to align sourcing with business needs and policies.

The role requires a BS in a related field and 5–8 years in procurement within manufacturing, with strong communication and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

BS degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, Economics, Business or related discipline.
Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, commodity management, supply chain, or related functions within a manufacturing environment.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement sourcing strategies for assigned commodities.
Source raw materials, components, goods, and services through competitive bidding and negotiations.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, lead times, service levels, and capacity commitments.
Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify risks and opportunities.
Lead supplier performance reviews and develop corrective action plans when needed.
Travel domestically and internationally up to 50%.
