Horton, Inc. is seeking a Commodity Manager to lead global/regional commodity strategies with full sourcing lifecycle oversight.

This onsite role supports Roseville, MN or Westminster, SC locations, collaborating across manufacturing, operations, and leadership to optimize supplier partnerships and drive value. The role emphasizes risk management, cost reduction, and continuous improvement through VA/VE, negotiations, and supplier performance management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in SCM, Operations or Engineering.
• 5+ years in strategic sourcing or procurement with global categories.
• Proven ability in supplier evaluation and contract negotiation.
• Experience with supplier relationship management frameworks.
• Knowledge of manufacturing cost drivers and market dynamics.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.
• Authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not provided.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute multi-year global/regional commodity strategies and roadmaps.
• Expand and optimize the Approved Supplier List using spend segmentation.
• Evaluate maturity, cost drivers, and market dynamics to identify opportunities.
• Drive TCO reductions through strategic partnerships and design optimization.
• Lead QBRs and maintain supplier scorecards and risk matrices.
• Manage vendor selection, negotiate terms, and ensure compliance.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain vulnerabilities and disruptions.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and operations to monitor capacity.
• Resolve critical material shortages and quality issues promptly.
