Job summary

Horton, Inc. is seeking a Commodity Manager to lead the development and execution of multi-year global commodity strategies. You will oversee the full sourcing lifecycle from market analysis to contract negotiation and risk management.

You will collaborate with manufacturing, operations and leadership to build high-value supplier partnerships, optimize portfolio performance and manage supplier risk. An onsite role with travel up to 20% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field (Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering).
• 5+ years in strategic sourcing, commodity management, or procurement with regional/global spend.
• Proven supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
• Experience with multi-year commodity roadmaps, spend segmentation, and portfolio rationalization.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute multi-year global/regional commodity strategies and roadmaps.
• Expand and optimize the Approved Supplier List (ASL) using spend segmentation.
• Evaluate maturity, drivers, market dynamics, and spend data to identify opportunities.
• Drive cross-functional initiatives to reduce Total Cost of Ownership through partnerships and design optimization.
• Deliver annual cost savings through negotiations, VA/VE, and continuous improvement projects.
• Oversee Supplier Relationship Management with targets on Delivery, Quality, Cost and Innovation.
• Lead QBRs and supplier summits with comprehensive supplier profiles and risk matrices.
• Foster strategic supplier partnerships to support organizational growth.
• Manage vendor selection, contract terms, and compliance.
