Qualifications

• Five years of purchasing experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Solid understanding of purchasing, distribution, inventory management, and production operations.
• Experience developing and maintaining supplier relationships.
• Experience negotiating pricing and contract terms with external suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Source materials, evaluate suppliers, and negotiate pricing and contract terms to achieve cost savings targets.
• Maintain supplier relationships, manage contract terms, and monitor supplier performance to meet targets.
• Analyze inventory levels, production requirements, and supplier lead times to minimize shortages and reduce emergency PO's.
• Analyze material costs and market trends to identify cost reduction opportunities and improve purchasing efficiency.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and resolve invoice and inventory discrepancies.
