This hands-on role requires 7–10 years of manufacturing purchasing experience, strong negotiation skills, and MS Office proficiency. You will manage POs, requisitions, and supplier performance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, supply chain, or equivalent progressive purchasing experience.
• 7–10 years of buying experience at a manufacturing company, including sourcing electronic components (ICs, capacitors, resistors, crystals, connectors).
• Demonstrated experience developing commodity or category sourcing strategy, not just executing transactions.
• Proven ability to negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve favorable outcomes and cost targets.
• Strong command of total cost concepts (total landed cost, cost reduction, avoidance of unfavorable price variances).
• Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate and influence across internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, OneNote, and PowerPoint.
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to respond quickly in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned commodity sourcing strategy balancing cost, quality, lead time, and supply risk.
• Place and manage POs against MRP requirements and handle requisitions.
• Obtain quotes, select sources, and negotiate terms and pricing.
• Manage total landed cost and lead cost-reduction initiatives.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships; address performance and issues.
• Mitigate supply risk and escalations to ensure uninterrupted production.
