Job summary

Mitsubishi Power Americas is seeking a Commercial Operations Manager to lead development and execution of commercial strategies for large-scale power generation equipment and EPC projects. You will oversee bid strategy, proposals, and contract negotiations while partnering with internal stakeholders and customers.

Role requires 10+ years of experience, strong negotiation, and the ability to travel up to 25% across the U.S. and Canada; MBA is preferred and CRM proficiency is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; MBA preferred.
• Minimum 10+ years in commercial operations, project management, or contract negotiation.
• Experience with large capital contracts and EPC environments.
• Strong negotiation across legal, commercial, and technical areas.
• Excellent communication and executive-level presentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM tools (Dynamics, Salesforce).
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Review RFQs and liaison with EPC clients and partners.
• Develop and execute bid strategies across scope, pricing, performance, and service elements.
• Lead cost, risk review and approval for proposals.
• Manage CRM systems and reporting of commercial opportunities.
• Coordinate with sales teams to disseminate deal information.
• Negotiate equipment supply and EPC contracts with customers and partners.
• Collaborate with engineering and cost estimating to optimize proposals.
• Maintain pricing data and support proposal development.
• Align commercial strategies with senior leadership and internal teams.
• Engage customers to understand market needs via meetings and site visits.
• Coordinate with global teams on Americas sales and marketing.
• Support development of new products and commercial initiatives.
