Job summary

Larson Maddox is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join its expanding litigation practice in a flexible hybrid work setting. The role involves significant responsibility, direct client interaction, and handling sophisticated business disputes across various industries.

The ideal candidate will have a JD from an accredited school, an active bar in good standing, and 3+ years of commercial or complex civil litigation experience.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Bar license in good standing.
• 3+ years of commercial, business, or complex civil litigation experience.
• Experience drafting dispositive motions, briefs, discovery materials, and other litigation documents.
• Strong written and oral communication abilities.
• Ability to independently manage multiple matters and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Handle commercial litigation matters through all phases of the dispute lifecycle with supervision appropriate to experience level.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, legal memoranda, and case assessments.
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategy for complex business disputes.
• Assist with and participate in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and court proceedings.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding litigation strategy, business objectives, case developments, and risk management considerations.
• Manage fact and expert discovery, including document review, witness preparation, and coordination with experts.
• Negotiate settlements and assist clients in resolving disputes efficiently and effectively.
• Collaborate with attorneys across offices and practice groups on multifaceted business litigation matters.
• Support trial preparation, including witness preparation, exhibit management, and courtroom strategy.
• Maintain organized case files, manage deadlines, and oversee day-to-day case responsibilities.
