Job summary

Central Bank in Warrensburg seeks an experienced Commercial Lending professional to originate and manage a diverse loan portfolio, including secured and unsecured financing for individuals and businesses. You will drive profitability while adhering to bank policies and regulatory requirements, and develop relationships to meet sales and referral goals.

The role requires 3-5 years in commercial lending, strong financial analysis skills, and the ability to independently assess risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• 3-5 years Commercial Lending industry experience required.
• Strong ability to analyze financial statements and loan risk.
• Good judgement and ability to make independent decisions within prescribed guidelines.
• Thorough knowledge of bank products and services.
• Demonstrated skill in soliciting business for bank deposit products and loan services.
• Ability to identify client needs and present banking solutions and bank products.
• Ability to recognize closing opportunities and retain/grow customer relationships.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Interview loan applicants to develop information concerning their businesses, needs, and earnings to determine acceptability of risk.
• Evaluate client financial condition, pledged collateral, and management effectiveness; decide loans within limits or refer to senior staff.
• Monitor quality of existing accounts and ensure contracts/policy limits are met.
• Ensure documentation is complete and request additional data as needed; discuss difficult issues with Chief Lending Officer.
• Coordinate loan activities with appropriate departments and manage loan portfolio profitability.
• Achieve loan objectives including origination, outstanding, delinquency, fee income and ROA; refer loans to other units as needed.
• Develop marketing plans and sales/referral goals; maintain accountability for sales standards.
• Attend training and assist others; may be assigned to other locations.
