Job summary
Mars is seeking a Commercial Finance Director to be the lead Finance representative on the Commercial Leadership Team and to partner with the VP of Commercial. The role delivers independent financial leadership, challenging assumptions, and an outside-in view to shape sourcing strategy and decisions.
The position covers a multi-billion-dollar direct material portfolio, translating markets and supplier economics into actionable insights, guiding productivity, forecasting, planning, and risk
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or related field.
- MBA, CPA, CMA or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Proven finance leadership experience with accountability for a significant spend portfolio.
- Strong business partnering skills and ability to influence senior leaders.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Commercial Finance team and own the Finance agenda for Commercial.
- Partner with VP of Commercial to shape strategy with financial insight and implications.
- Translate sourcing strategies and material cost drivers into portfolio-level financial impact.
- Guide forecasting, planning, performance reviews, and risk management for the Commercial function.
